THE COZY CABIN

Hi my name is Jan. Welcome to my home. I'm pretty much of an amateur at this blogging thing, but I'm learning. I stay pretty busy working a full-time job, but in my spare time I enjoy papercrafting, reading, cooking and spending time with my family. So, you'll see a little variety on here from time to time. Thanks for stopping by.

My boys at Busch Gardens

Lunch time!

My dog Stormy

She's so ugly she's cute!

Some cards I made with images from my friend Sue (Artyfarty at the Stamp Shack)

Thanks Sue!

Jacob's graduation from community college

He received an Associate Degree in Science.
On February 1st he enlisted in the USMC.

Justin's high school graduation

Here's a picture of all of us. Jordan in front, Perry behind, Justin in middle, Jacob behind me.

I can upload pictures......FINALLY!!

So now you can see where I live. Of course there would be NO flowers in my beds in this picture because hubby and I have been too busy and too lazy to plant any this summer. But I love my house and living up in the woods.

Laundry...the never ending chore

Trying to get a family of 5 ready for vacation is exhausting! I've been up to my ears in laundry for the past 3 days. I doubt that I'll be posting much on my blog for the next week though. So if you are reading this, you know why.

P.S. Still having trouble with my camera. I've emailed Kodak and they replied with a possible solution for me to try.

Good morning!

After a fitfull night's sleep and waking up with a backache, I'm ready to tackle the day. Here's what's on the agenda: 1/2 day at work, getting my hair cut and the gray hairs (yes I have some of those) colored, heading home to pick up my guys, taking all 3 of them for a haircut, then we're going to the big mall for some beach shopping. All three need shorts and some of those sleeveless shirts. I hope your day is blessed!!

Yes I really do live in a log cabin...

and as soon as I can get the bugs worked out with my digital camera, I'll be uploading some pictures. I got a new digital for Christmas this past year, and I'm STILL trying to figure it all out. Uploading pictures from the camera to my computer is the issue...it just isn't cooperating and I'm losing my patience. They say patience is a virtue.....hmmm. I looked up the definition of virtue and here's what it said: a commendable quality or trait; an order of angels as within a celestial hierarchy; chastity...esp. in a woman. Can I live up to all of that?? I'll do my best. I mean....who doesn't want to be compared to an Angel for goodness sakes?

Hello from my neck of the woods

I didn't realize how hard it is at first to get a blog going. After all, I'm a big gabber, so writing shouldn't be the problem....right? I guess it will just take me a little time to get used to the blogging thing.

Only 5 more days until we leave for vacation, and I can't wait! My hubby and 3 sons are heading to Pirateland Campground in Myrtle Beach, SC for a whole week! We are renting a house in the campground, and there is so much to do there including a short walk within the campground to the beach. We've been saving loose change for 6 months so that we can rent a golf cart. There is an indoor pool, outdoor pool, lazy river, small lakes for fishing and paddle boats, playground with basketball courts, arcade, snackbars, laundromat and a store. We love vacationing at campgrounds because there is so much to do. My youngest was only 7 months old the last time we went to Pirateland, and now he is 12 1/2. For the past several years we have rented a house at Ocean Lakes Campground (Myrtle Beach, SC), and we love it there too. We are going with friends who actually have a camper.
