Boy am I Pooped!

Today makes the 9th straight day I've worked. (I work 2 part-time jobs.)

I had hoped to take today off, but my co-worker at the law office has been out sick since last Friday. She is still out today and who knows about tomorrow.

I can't wait for the weekend though. I'm on call 10-5 at the store (I have to call in at 9am to see if anyone called in sick and if no one does, I don't have to work.)

I asked off for Sunday and Monday, so I will get some free time....yippee!!!!!!! I need it. My feet and legs are so tired from working at the store. No sitting down there...unless you are on your lunch break.

Shackapalooza 2009

In April, my friend Cheryl and I traveled to Angola, Indiana (to the Potawatomi Inn at Pokagon State Park) for a long weekend of stamping with friends from the Stamp Shack. Shackapalooza 2009 it was called. I took lots of pictures of the girls, our craft room, and we also went on a shopping trip in nearby Fort Wayne, IN to a store called Stamping Day and Night. I even took pictures of the girls shopping and some of the gorgeous cards on display in the store.

I had a great time meeting the girls from the stamp Shack, and Cheryl and I came home with bag of souvenirs and great memories. Driving over 1500 miles in 4 days...it was worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat :)

Tough Week

My sweet 33 year old nephew Mark passed away on Sunday, March 15th, from a heart attack. Please remember my brother Jerry, wife Sharon, Mark's siblings: Kelly, Keith and Troy, and my parents: Thomas & Frances (affectionately Jr. & Frankie) in your prayers. If you would like to read his obit. in the newspaper, here is the link: http://www.legacy.com/Roanoke/Obituaries.asp?Page=Lifestory&PersonId=125202970

I Found my camera cord

and it was practically in front of my face the whole time...kind of sticking out from a pile on my desk....but I thought it was the cord to something else. Honestly, I must clean more often.

I made this card for a friend who had surgery not long ago, and he has a really great sense of humor. I love the pig stamp which is in a set from Stampin Up. The background paper is from OctoberAfternoon.com.

I've been way tooooo busy to post anything

I can hardly keep up with "life"....blogging comes like 5th place to everything else.

What's new? My oldest son (20) arrived at Camp Pendleton in CA on Jan. 30, my middle son (19) has been at his job long enough now to get on their insurance (woo hoo!) and my youngest son (13) seems to have grown taller than me in the last 24 hours...my baby! I'm still looking for a full time job so I don't have to work weekends. I'm still crafting but I'm terrible at taking pictures of my cards and loading them up on the computer.

Things must slow down soon :)

I've been tagged!

This is my first blog "tag" and my friend Barb from The Stamp Shack tagged me. I'm to go into my pictures folder and find the 6th folder...then the 6th picture...and paste into my blog. Here it is! This picture is of me and a very handsome young man named Chris. Chris is the son of my good friend Elisabeth, and our family was at their house last summer for dinner and to visit with Chris who is in the USMC.

Thanks Barb...that was fun.
